Get to know the Porto Foodies

Taste Porto Team

This is André

He doesn’t usually have an afro, but damn, quarantine made him like it! He loves coffee. He REALLY loves coffee. He’s hosted Anthony Bourdain, Rick Steves, Mark Wiens, and many other travelers to Porto, and has convinced a few more to totally fall in love with Porto and move here. If you want to get to know him better, check out this interview with André on our Porto Foodie blog..

Taste Porto Team

This is Ricardo

He loves Portuguese sausages – no innuendo there. His rants are epic and most of it must be censored. He has a heart of gold which he tries to hide. But he sucks at it. If you want to get to know him better, check out this interview with Ricardo in our foodie blog.

Taste Porto Team

This is Iara (with an I)

Iara is a food lover who can’t decide whether she loves cooking or eating the most (but probably eating…). She’s a movie and TV buff, loves music, and besides being a Customer Service Chef, she’s also a freelance Chinese translator. She will be the first one to answer your call or email, solve your question or help you to choose between our delicious Food Tours. She’s lived one year in China and another in Pakistan, traveled around, and has already decided there’s no better place to live (and eat) than Portugal!

Taste Porto Team

This is Miguel

He is our rockstar. Sings in a band and wows guests with his (not so) innocent charms. Secretly, he wishes he could grow a beard. We asked him to talk about the most iconic areas in the city on our youtube channel. Check it out!

Taste Porto Team

This is Sérgio

He is our international man of mystery and our in-house DJ – hence the outfit, which he wears every day. He likes Francesinha a lot and, in this video, he reveals where you can eat the best Francesinha in Porto. But then again, it all depends on your taste. Check it out!

Taste Porto Team

This is André

He doesn’t have blue hair, but we were running out of Lego pieces. With André, enjoying the city and its food is not optional… he will make you feel at home the moment you sit down and start Tasting Porto. Have you traveled with André before?

Taste Porto Team

This is Paulo

Born and raised in Porto, Paulo spends half his time crafting meticulous oil paintings at his art studio and the other half sharing his love for the artistic heritage of the city. But don’t be deceived – he’s a proper foodie, and he’ll follow the smell of a great cheese to the ends of the earth!

Taste Porto Team

This is Rita

She’s the smallest and the cutest of the bunch. Rita is an “old soul” who has taken over her grandma’s place as “the best cook in the house.” She’s also a curious and creative artist and history enthusiast who feels happiest when sharing all the beautiful things Porto has to offer!

Taste Porto Team

This is Tânia

Tânia’s culinary skills may still be a work in progress, but one thing is for sure: she loves eating. She deeply believes that getting a flight ticket to Porto is the closest any human being can get to the feeling of receiving a letter from Dumbledore. She also thinks that Taste Porto has the best foodie experiences out there.

Taste Porto Team

This is Mariana

A spirited foodie raised near the beaches of Matosinhos. Every weekend, she commutes to Porto, where the aroma of freshly baked pastries fills the air and the taste of home lingers in every bite.
