Merry Christmas 2021 from Taste Porto

Dear Foodie:

The year 2020 was a very odd year for the world and it only seems right that we start the new year with a quick look back at all we, at Taste Porto, have done this year.

2020 year in review

We ran our first food tour of the year on January 2nd and our final food tour on November 11th (in between there was a lockdown). We were used to be way busier, to say the least!

But here’s how we see things: in the past 12 months, we were lucky enough to share our food tours with a diverse crowd: from Switzerland, Germany to Australia, Canada, and the USA, our guests represented over 16 countries.

Over the past months, we were also able to connect with some new visitors who are planning their 2021 vacations and came to us through The Guardian, Lonely Planet, National Geographic, and The Globe and Mail.

Back to the number, in 2020 we had over 450 new friends following our food porn postings on Instagram, we amassed over 250 new Twitter followers and got 700 more foodie followers on Facebook.

All of which calls for a celebration! Because you know us: between hope and fear we always choose hope. Hope and wine!

In case you’ve missed it, over the past 12 months we’ve also:

And we are happy to say that our fantastic team is hard at work to bring you more gastronomic opportunities in Porto, all of which will be announced in due time, so stay connected to us to find out more.

We can’t wait to travel again and we know you feel the same. So from our family to yours, we wish you a merry Christmas and a wonderful 2021 full of adventures and new food experiences.

Here’s a toast to hope over fear!
Here’s a toast to safe travels!
