Rediscover flavors and places from the past, now with a modern twist, as we guide you through memory lane in Porto, sharing our collective memories as locals. This tour serves as a crash course in the city's culinary evolution, providing insights into Porto's food traditions and the exciting revival of its cuisine.
Our Vintage & Port Wine Food Tour is loved by first-time visitors to Porto, as it not only takes you off the beaten path but also hits several highlights of the city, including plenty of must-sees for a first-time visit. It is the perfect experience for families, friends, couples, adventurous foodies or solo travelers who want to encounter Porto like a local.
During this Taste Porto Food Tour, you will taste traditional Portuguese dishes, regional wines, local pastries, and, of course, Port wines. The last tasting location is very special as we host a mini Port wine masterclass in a beautiful private room, where we reveal the secrets of this amazing beverage and highlight smaller-scale producers that truly are different from the big brands (and there’s real value in getting to know them). You'll get to taste the three main styles and leave with the knowledge to enjoy Port like a true expert.
In total, you will experience a well-balanced gastronomic tour of 13 food tastings (a perfect balance of sweet and savory) and 7 different beverages (including 6 wines from Portugal's many undiscovered regions).
Expect to see not only places & food, but also meet and be welcomed by local families in their small, authentic restaurants, cafes and wine bars. Our Taste Porto Food Tours are hosted by a passionate Porto native who will help you travel back in time and experience how Porto’s past is influencing its future in terms of local cuisine as well as its architecture and culture.
We've poured our heart and soul into crafting our Taste Porto Food Tours. Secure your spot today and let's see if you agree with us.

Taste Porto: Our Promise to You
At Taste Porto, we don’t settle for the postcard version of the city. Sure, Francesinha is delicious, and Pastel de Nata is amazing, but Porto is more than its greatest hits. Our tour guides invite you to go deeper - because our mission is that, by the end of your journey, Porto won’t feel like a place you’ve visited; it’ll feel like a place you’ve come home to. Tens of thousands have experienced it. Anthony Bourdain approved. Rick Steves agrees. Now it’s your turn. Come taste the real Porto with us!
