In this case, we mean the counter as the place where you are going to get your food served. Porto loves the profound democratic socialization that a counter allows, and this place is a very good example. <br><br>You are going to try a very common food item served over counters, a <em>rissol<\/em> (plural: <em>riss\u00f3is<\/em>). It\u2019s a popular Portuguese snack often found in caf\u00e9s (and birthday parties). These delicious half-moon-shaped croquettes come with various fillings such as shrimp, cod, vegetables, or meat.<br><br>Commercially, riss\u00f3is are normally fried; at Oficina dos Riss\u00f3is, they take a different approach: riss\u00f3is are handmade and baked, with many (and all) delicious fillings. Alexandra and Louis, the French chefs and owners, have reimagined the traditional recipe. They use the finest ingredients sourced from different regions of Portugal and combine Portuguese and international cooking techniques. Some fillings require up to 6 hours of cooking! They\u2019ve also crafted the special dough recipe that allows the riss\u00f3is to be oven-baked instead of fried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have we got you drooling over these tiny pieces of heaven?
